why do God sometimes punish the innocent?

  1. I try not to view everything bad as a punishment and everything good as a reward. Plus, neonatal diseases are usually the parents' fault, not God's.

  3. Therefore, He should be judged by human standards, now, should He? What we think is bad, might not apply to Him. I've come to think that Good and Evil are human terms rather than a universal one. I believe if God is Good, then He is Evil as well because Good cannot exist without Evil as a comparison and God is perfect, no? Haha. But let's leave theophilosophy out of this, eh? Haha.
